Tallahassee–The Republican Party of Florida today commented on Alex Sink sitting on the sidelines as her Party pushes a trillion dollar health care experiment through to the President’s desk, against the will of the American people and the legislative process.

“Nancy Pelosi is bringing her own brand of madness to March with a ‘deem and pass’ procedure to try and ensure a government takeover of our health care system passes Congress,” said RPOF Executive Director Ronnie Whitaker.

“Amid this national controversy, you would expect that Florida’s Democrat Gubernatorial candidate would be on the front lines of this new government takeover, pushing the liberal talking points crafted by her beltway buddies, and taking to the streets touting the public option, universal health care and sunshine and bliss for every Floridian,” continued Whitaker.

“Instead, Alex Sink is sitting on the sidelines, hoping that the majority of Floridians who are opposed to the expensive overhaul of our health care system will suddenly forget that Sink helped elect the Washington Democrats who are working to shove the legislation down the throats of Florida taxpayers,” concluded Whitaker. “If Alex Sink wants to be the Governor of this state, she needs to stop being a benchwarmer and get in the game. It’s time for Alex Sink to finally take a stand on an issue that affects every Floridian and nearly 20 percent of our nation’s economy.”
