Florida Party Registration Gap Closing as Obama Failures Continue
Despite millions of dollars spent by Democrats across Florida to register voters, current trends in voter registration in the Sunshine State favor Republicans.
In January 2011 there were 580,666 more Democrats than Republicans in Florida. As of December, that number has been reduced to 502,861. In other words, over the last 12 months – a non-election year – the gap closed a total of 77,805 or about 6500 each month. 44,954 of the total voter shift has occurred in the last 3 months alone reflecting an increase in momentum.
“RPOF is working at the grassroots level to bring new voters, Democrats, and independent voters into our party,” said Chairman Lenny Curry. “We are also letting former Republicans know we want them to come back and join us to get Florida and the nation back on the path to prosperity.”
